Kane County Group to Washington DC

Washington DC -  A few members of the KCRWO travelled to Washington DC to experience firsthand the excitement of the Inauguration of our newly elected Congressman Randy Hultgren. They each volunteered on Congressman Hultgren’s campaign and felt attending his inauguration would be fitting.    Amidst the parties and meetings the group had time to visit the local sites and experience a sliver of Washington.

Susan Secondi named Lincoln Series Fellow

St. Charles, IL - Susan Secondi was recently named as a 2011 fellow of the Illinois Lincoln Excellence in Public Service Series.  Secondi said " I am so honored to have been chosen"  The Lincoln Series is a stepping stone for Republican women into public service.  She will start in January with graduation in September 2011.



Two Republican Women's  organizations Merge

Geneva, IL - The first meeting of
  the newly merged Kane County Republican Women's organization was held on December 14, 2010 at the Colonial Cafe in Geneva.  Approximately 30 enthusiastic women attended this organizational meeting and elected the officers for 2011.  

The Honorable Karen McConnaughay, Chairman of the Kane County Board spoke to the group about the importance of women in politics not only as elected officials but also behind the scenes in organization and support roles.
